Celebrate International Day of People with Disability at ECU Joondalup Pines - Telethon Community Cinema with a free community screening of Disney and Pixar's Inside Out 2 (rated PG) 🎬✨
Inside Out 2 takes us back into the vibrant, emotional world inside Riley’s mind. As Riley faces the challenges of growing up, including the rollercoaster of being a teenager, we meet a whole new set of emotions. This heartwarming and thought-provoking film explores themes of anxiety, emotional resilience, and self-acceptance—making it perfect for viewers of all ages.
This exciting event is all about bringing together the ECU disability and ally community, along with the broader public, to raise awareness, promote inclusion, and celebrate the contributions and experiences of the disability community.
Get ready for an unforgettable evening packed with entertainment, community spirit, and fun-filled activities for all ages, including:
- A free movie screening of Inside Out 2 (open captions on screen). Grab your free popcorn upon entry and settle in for an epic evening of fun.
- Pre-film live music featuring acoustic folk artist and ECU WAAPA student, Kiara Flanigan AKA Oakabella Mae.
- Market stalls – discover and support local disabled and neurodivergent-owned businesses including Rabble Books and Games, Thriving Minds Education, Dear Daisy Earrings, Outback Bush Buddies Shop and Stop Being Boring.
- UV and Glitter Facepainting by All of the Lights.
- Kid's craft station - make your own Inside Out character masks and colour-in.
- Pre-film book readings by children's author Sarah Pollard. Sarah will read her charming story 'The Bush Tale of Timmy Lamb', an adventure set in the Australian bush.

SEATING
Limited non-reserved deckhair style seating and bean bags available.
Bring your own picnic rugs, cushions or low chairs, also welcome.
FOOD AND DRINKS
Bring your own picnic or pre-order items, including pizzas, for collection at the Candy Bar on the night.
The Candy Bar will be open for drinks and extra movie snacks!
The venue is licensed, so please no bring-your-own alcohol.
All children under 18 years should be accompanied by a responsible adult. TICKETS
This is a free, ticketed and family event; open to the public.
Tickets are limited and available on a first in, first served basis.
Children 5 & under do not require a ticket.
Complimentary tickets are held back for Companion Card holders. Please indicate upon booking, if one of these tickets is required.

All Telethon Community Cinema venues are wheelchair or restricted mobility friendly. Designated parking is located close to the entrance of the cinemas.

A lowered sensory space is available before, during and after the event.

Service dogs are permitted. Appropriate proof may be requested.
Open Captions
ECU is currently sourcing and intends to screen an open caption version of the film. If anything changes, guests will be notified closer to the event.
