The Female Gaze is a multi-disciplinary exhibition bringing together four female artists.
Combining photography, life drawing, illustrations, and writing the show explores diverse perspectives on the female creative experience.
Introducing:
Ashleigh West - vibrant drawings explore and celebrate the human form, highlighting how the very act of looking transforms our perception of the physical body.
Liberté la Femme - meditative illustrations explore the concept of "Woman as image, Woman as Bearer of the Look" and ask, when a woman looks within, what does she see?
Heidi Wentworth-Ping - excerpts from two photography projects - the first documenting a physical and metaphorical journey through the Himalayas and the second turning the lens on herself.
Jodi Bush - writing and poetry examining the topic of the female gaze, along with the interplay between grief, love, loss and desire.
Open from Sat 26th to Wed the 30th October 10am - 4pm. Launch party - Saturday 26th, 6-9pm.
