LET'S BUILD RESPECTFUL COMMUNITIES: Brochure Launch
Thursday 31st October 1.45pm - 3.00pm
Sadly, domestic and family violence impacts people from all walks of life all across Australia. As a faith community, we have a particular concern to be places of safety, care and love, and there are steps we can take to raise awareness and work to prevent family violence. Catholic Social Services Victoria (CSSV) has developed a brochure and poster as resources for parishes and the wider Catholic community. These resources are more effective when leaders are equipped with the knowledge of how to use them.
We invite parish leaders to join the launch and learn:
- What the resources include and how to use them
- How they can be used to start deeper conversations
- The services offered by Catholic community organisations and beyond
- How parishes are taking action to prevent domestic and family violence
The launch will include a number of speakers including Felicity Rorke, Executive Director, Good Samaritan Inn. Felicity is the Chair of the CSSV Domestic Violence Working Group and has extensive experience in responding to and the prevention of family violence.
