The workshop is a free, hybrid, professional development opportunity covering the steps involved in planning and undertaking health research. Learn from short plenaries and apply these learnings in small groups to hypothetical scenarios.What to Expect
• Short plenaries on topics including: identifying a research question; developing a search strategy; matching a research question to a study design; necessary approval pathways; different ways to collect and analyse data; dissemination and impact.
• Worked examples of how the theory relates to a “case-of-the-day” and
• Applied small group activities to put learnings into practice.
This workshop is for you if:
• You have an interest in research but don’t know where to start; or
• You have a research idea you want to develop; or
• You are thinking of undertaking further studies with a research component; or
• You have research experience but wish to update your knowledge of process and planning.
