Romeo loves Juliet, Joanie loves Chachi. In a run-down cabaret at the end of the universe, two actors, and their characters, fall passionately in love. Paris (think the naughty boy of Troy fame) is playing Romeo. He works at the Century of God Café, run by Angel.He is obsessed by early 70s Aussie rock, he sings live and plays a mean guitar. Helen (demi-goddess of Sparta, most beautiful woman in the world) has just arrived off the bus. She is to play Juliet. But she has a Marilyn Monroe fixation, wearing clothes, hair and voice that are more than a candle in the wind. When they see each other, sparks fly. The passion is instantaneous.
