Dear friends. Join us as we celebrate the Art of Chamber Music. All Itet String Ensembles from across the state of Victoria will travel to Melbourne to perform at the iconic ABC Iwaki Auditorium. They will combine as a full String Orchestra to perform Elgar's Serenade for Strings & Grieg's Holberg Suite, and then perform individually. We will have 9 ensembles from Horsham, Mildura, Shepparton, Bendigo, Traralgon, Bairnsdale, Warrnambool and Broadmeadows. Our Itet members will share the stage with gifted professional musicians, including Itet Artistic Director John Noble, Orchestra Victoria colleagues (Rebecca Shirley, Tom Higham, Zoe Wallace & Stuart Riley) and Artistic Patrons - Zoe Knighton & Helen Ireland from Flinders Quartet. This will be an incredibly exciting event featuring music from Haydn to Studio Ghibli, including an inspiring collaboration with our Traralgon Quartet featuring excerpts from her album "Hope" by composer Nat Bartsch.
