BARDfest showcases the presenters' favourite poetry: what genre or poets they like and why, maybe pieces they have personally written or read and enjoyed, and we get to listen and be informed and entertained.Margaret Walsh will present a retrospective on the poetry of her late father Jim Mangan's poetry (Jim was Nanango's unofficial Poet Laureate and was prolifically wrote about local events); Glen Jones is an entertainer and bush poet/balladeer and will recite some of his favourite pieces and some where poetry crosses to songs; and finally Elizabeth Caffery will present her favourite poetry. Liz is passionate about poetry and will also feature some local poets and a variety of very stirring emotional pieces. A light supper will be served at intermission.
