PIANC WA Technical Share & Networking - Carnarvon Fascine

About
The Carnarvon Fascine serves as a crucial entryway for tourism in the Gascoyne region and has faced some complex coastal transformations over the past 5-10 years. Following the deterioration of the Fascine entrance channel in 2017, coastal and environmental reconstruction works have been undertaken to reinstate the entrance channel and dune system. Engineering including coastal, geotechnical, and hydrological investigations were undertaken followed by dredging, material management and coastal revegetation site works. During this PIANC seminar we will dive into the design and execution of this coastal adaptation project and hear about the works from a diverse group of speakers covering the design and execution of the works.
Join the WA PIANC Chapter in Fremantle to hear about this project from Sam Mettam (Department of Transport), Samantha Law (BMT) and Sam Watkins (Maritime Constructions).
Followed by drinks and canapes provided by our sponsors BMT and Maritime Constructions.
PIANC events count towards your Professional Development Plan (PDP).
