Mathematical Modelling, Maths Investigations and Explicit Teaching: The evidence-based pedagogies that underpin the Maths in Schools approach.The Maths in Schools Professional Learning project provides free resources and support for teachers wishing to build their understanding of proven instructional methods for teaching mathematics effectively. In this session, John will demonstrate how mathematical modelling, maths investigations and explicit teaching are complementary approaches that combine effectively to produce confident and competent users of mathematics. Join us for this free face to face workshop at The University of Adelaide. Bring along any questions you might have and take away a range of classroom-ready resources to inspire your students.

About The CSER STEM Professional Learning Team at The University of adelaide
The CSER STEM Professional Learning Team is based at the University of Adelaide, in the Faculty of Sciences Engineering and Technologies, and offers a range of STEM based professional learning to in-service and pre-service teachers across Australia.
