Doors open 4pm, support artist from 5.30pm and Ash hits the stage at approx 6pm. Australia's foremost blues artist Ash Grunwald returns to Armidale as one of the most requested artists on our event calendar with support Mark Crotti. Ash's performances are an infectious mix of acoustic blues, boogie and good old fashion ale house rock & stomp. At an Ash Grunwald concert you will feel like you are in one of those old blues movies from the Deep South where everyone is dancing & the whole place is rocking to an infectious beat. With 12 studio albums and 5 ARIA nominations, he is a staple at national blues events but has a committment to bring the music to the people and every weekend he makes the journey to a town somewhere in Australia to do just that. ''We love playing just about anywhere that will have us , small towns, big towns, if they're up for it, we'll play'' he says and with a work ethic sorely missing in many of today's entertainers, expect to see him in your town soon.
