20x20 ART EXHIBITION (2025)

THEME: HOME & AWAY

DATES: Thursday 12 June - Sunday 29 June 2025

LOCATION: Community Gallery, 36 Webb St East Gosford

Celebrating its eighth year, the 20x20 Art Exhibition is an annual community event in partnership with the Gosford Regional Gallery. A proportion of proceeds from this exhibition helps to support Arts in Health initiatives at the Gallery. 

Central Coast residents are invited to submit (a total of) 3 artworks for an entry fee of $20 (plus booking fee) based on this year’s theme of “Home” and/or “Away”.

The entry fee is non-refundable.

All artworks must be for sale and will be displayed and sold anonymously.

All artworks are to be presented on 20.3cm x 20.3cm x 3.7cm canvases (or 8” x 8” x 1.4” DEEP canvas). Canvases are available from the Gallery gift shop for purchase for this exhibition: $24 for a three-pack or $9 for a single canvas.

DEADLINE for entry fee (and completed entry form) is midnight 1 June 2025 via the online booking site (unless the maximum number of entries is reached first). Paying this entry fee is a confirmation that participants will be meeting the requirements and entering 3 artworks.

DELIVER YOUR ARTWORK: Studio 2, Gosford Regional Gallery 36 Webb St. East Gosford on 8 June 2025 between 10 - 4pm.

WIN: Each artist will have an opportunity to win a People’s Choice Award of $250, as voted by the public. The winner will be announced on Tuesday 1 July 2025.

PICKUP OF UNSOLD WORKS: A reception for the artists is planned for 1 July 2025 from 6 - 8pm in the Community Gallery when we will announce the winner of the People’s Choice Award. Unsold artworks are to be picked up at this function. Otherwise, all unsold artworks must be picked up by the following week (via main gallery reception

DETAILS:

• Open to all residents of the Central Coast NSW
• The theme for 2025 is “Home & Away”
• Artists enter 3 artworks for an entry fee of $20 - final size is 20.3cm (height) x 20.3 cm (width) x 3.7cm (depth) (or 8”x 8”) – which are the dimensions of “DEEP EDGE” canvases
• Only one entry (of 3 artworks) per artist is permitted
• Canvases are available from the Gallery gift shop: $24 for a three-pack or $9 for a single canvas
• Artworks can include paintings, photos, prints, drawings, collage and 3D but must be produced or mounted on W20.3 x H20.3 x D3.7cm canvases or wooden backing of the same dimensions
• Signature, name, and title on the back only (all artworks will be displayed anonymously until sold)
• Although the artist’s name is not revealed until sold, their 3 artworks will be displayed together
• All artworks must be for sale for $100 each
• As artworks will be sold individually, presenting a series is not advised
• Commission is 25% from each sale (i.e. $25 from each sale to the gallery’s Arts in Health programs and $75 of the sale price of each painting paid to the artist)
• Titles must be provided at time of entry
• Participants are expected to share the duties of manning the exhibition and helping with set-up & dismantling
• Artworks will be exhibited in the Community Gallery at 36 Webb St, East Gosford from 12 June to 29 June from 9:30am to 4pm daily

• Wet artworks will not be accepted
• Artworks must meet the required dimensions
