Plum cakes
Cakes or pastry-based tarts with plums (or ‘Pflaumenkuchen’) are classic German cakes. They come in many different variations, and many regions in Germany offer their own specialties. So, this very popular class is devoted entirely to baking a variety of my favourite plum cakes and tarts. These include a ‘sunken’ plum cake, plum tartlets with almond crumble and a plum loaf with hazelnuts.
Apart from being fun, the class is designed to provide you with the skills and confidence to replicate each recipe at home. My small class sizes (maximum of 6 participants) ensures plenty of opportunity for questions and one-on-one conversations to maximise your learning experience.
