MAAC Summer School '25: Intro to Peyote Stitch- Bead Weaving (CANCELLED)
About
Expert bead artist, Hilary Barton will be teaching Peyote Stitch in this Summer School 2025 Workshop. It is a stitch that can be difficult to learn but Hilary has developed a unique way to teach this stitch, which makes it easier for students to learn and master.
Peyote is also used in several different ways in beading, so it is a good stitch to learn first particularly if you are just starting out on your bead weaving journey
Hilary Barton has run and taught beading groups for many years. She is a specialist in bead embroidery and seed beading.
Students will be working with size 8 and size 11 Japanese and Czech seed beads, with needle and thread. In Hilary's Peyote Stitch Workshop you will start and finish a bracelet and will begin making your second one, which can then be completed at home. All materials will be provided. Suitable for Beginners and Intermediate, 18+yrs.
