The House That Dan Built spoke to 100 women from across Australia. They shared stories of resilience, connection to community, and reflections on their lives. The recorded interviews were given to six award-winning Australian female composers who wove those stories into a one-hour moving and poignant choral experience.

100 WOMEN 100 STORIES brings these stories and music to life in a community engagement project that brings women together, culminating in a beautiful performance that moves audiences to tears and laughter.
The House That Dan Built, known for its commitment to empowering women through the arts, has crafted this project to be a moving testament to the power of female voices. The performance leaves a lasting impression, challenging perceptions and encouraging dialogue about the role of women in today’s society. 100 Women 100 Stories is more than a performance; it is a bold statement of solidarity, strength, and shared humanity.
Participants quotes:
“I felt like I was paying homage to my brave, broken, beautiful female ancestors, and by doing so - that I was somehow passing on their wisdom and protection to my own kind, wise, incredible, daughter and onto my funny, sweet & feisty little granddaughter. It was bonding, swirling and enthralling and I will never forget the magic of it.” - Kate
“I was lucky enough to be part of this amazing project and was blown away by the organisation, talent and pure passion to uplift women and girls through music. I have come back to work this week completely elated and ready to change the world.” - Loretta
Audience quotes:
“It was very moving, emotionally engaging and I even felt a pang of jealousy that I wasn’t able to participate!” - Stephan (audience)
“The performance was brilliant! I loved the combination of spoken word, story and song. It was all so well directed and put together. Very powerful.” - Jill (audience)
