The Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918 restricts the gifts or donations that political parties can receive from foreign donors. It includes the restriction on receiving gifts/donations of $100 or more from a foreign donor, written affirmation that the donor is not foreign for gifts/donations of $1,000 to $16,900, and other appropriate information required if over the Disclosure Threshold. Please refer to the AEC website for more detailed information. Donors and political parties must disclose if gifts/donations exceed $16,900 (2024-2025 financial year Disclosure Threshold). No public funds have been used in the production of these materials or for this event. All funds raised go towards Federal ALP Campaigns.
