The lute music of John Dowland and Daniel Bacheler. John Dowland and Daniel Bacheler were the two pre-eminent lutenists of the English Golden Age. This concert is a playful juxtaposition of their lute music, exploring shared themes and motifs, plus parodies they made of each other’s work. As a special feature, Emma Horwood will perform songs linked to the lute pieces presented.
