PROMPT is an evidence based multi-professional training package for obstetric emergencies. It is associated with direct improvements in perinatal outcome and has been proven to improve knowledge, clinical skills and team working.
What is PROMPT Maternity? PROMPT aims to improve clinical outcomes for mothers and their babies. It was developed in Southmead Hospital (UK) by Professor Tim Draycott and his team. The Practical Obstetric Multi-Professional Training is delivered via a train-the-trainer model in each local setting, combining the training of obstetricians, midwives and anaesthetists.
