About
This is a hands-on artisan bread workshop with qualified baker and BITA trainer Martin Schett. This five-hour class will expose you to the finer side of traditional sourdough bread making, which will include Starting the Sour Culture, Spelt Flour Sourdough Bread, Rye Sourdough Breads, Ciabatta and Turkish Breads.Participants will learn the process and science of bread making including mixing, shaping, proving, and baking and everyone can practice their skills to shape all the different flavoured breads.
Martin will demonstrate the skills and techniques it takes to prove the dough overnight to make a long and time-consuming process easier to manage and bake a successful loaf. Everyone can take the baked samples home and also take home some sourdough starter to continue baking these tasty breads.
