Oceans 8 (CANCELLED)

About
50 minutes of thought-provoking comic monologue and solo theatre with a powerful live music-scape, Oceans 8 charts how the oceans have made us who we are, and how we are changing them. From the distant past – remember when you were a fish? – to the far future – how is all this going to end? You’ll go on a voyage through and over the seven seas and into the ocean you carry inside, your very own salt-water ecosystem that goes way back to your ancient home in the sea. There will be a little audience participation, a few puppets, a song or two, and for some general silliness among the more serious stuff. Find out the truth about the Vikings, Polynesian explorers, pirates, sharks and giant squid. Think Titanic the musical comedy meets Finding Nemo. Expect DIY puppets, fake VR goggles and funny hats. Expect comedy with heart and soul, and a serious message about our environment.Alan Hancock does the words, John Rich creates the music and soundscape, and it all comes together as Oceans 8.
