Clown is vast & diverse, inspired by interpretations from across history and around the world. It is joyous, powerful, ridiculous, political; a wild, rebellious creature, and is not defined by being solely one thing. Join award-winning performer and facilitator Anna Thomson on a journey into throwing off the shackles of what clown ‘must’ or ‘should’ be, to explore the guts and bones of what just might...In this 1.5 day workshop, we will dive into as:
- The Expressive – an emotional and embodied being, through movement, sound, & the non-human natural world.
- The Impressive –a wonderfully joyous creature, who seeks to connect & impress something on the world around them.
- The Transgressive – a rebellious spirit; a wild & provocative fool who challenges the norm.
