Celebrate 100 years to the day since Queensland’s premier Catholic WWI memorial church was dedicated and opened.RSVP ESSENTIAL to assist event planning & catering.
10.15am Rosary; 11am Holy Mass followed by official group photo re-creation, cake-cutting, speeches. Light refreshments provided. Cold drinks, barista coffee, Polish cakes & pączki on sale. Afternoon program till 5pm includes photo and memorabilia exhibition, historic honour roll, interactive trails, military jeep display, kids’ activities, live music, Polish dancing + entertainment.
Centenary Day finishes with 6pm Vigil Mass followed by adoration; rosary at 7.30pm. Concludes 8pm.
Exhibition continues daily 10am–6pm until Thursday 1 May.
Centenary Appeal – please give generously to our Capital Campaign to assist protection + promotion of this heritage site. See website for other events programmed through 2025 inc: 7am Anzac Day Memorial Mass; and 5pm ‘Keep the Blue Cross Shining’ fundraiser on Anzac Day evening.

There is no cost to attend Centenary Day, but your RSVP is essential for our event planning and lunch catering. City street parking should be available. NB: Onsite parking will NOT be available. Dropoffs for accessibility or for the elderly will be by permission only and managed through the RSVP process. Please plan ahead, use public transport and come early. When you RSVP you agree to receive information about the Event from the Event Organiser.
