Come start the year with a stunning concert of music by two of Melbourne's best string players.Anne-Marie Johnson is currently an associate concertmaster of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and she will join forces in this concert with William Vyvyan Murray to present new and old music for Violin and Viola.
The program includes W. A. Mozart's stunning duo written for his dear friend Michael Haydn, Kaaija Saariaho eerie Aure written for her dear friend Henri Dutilleux's 95th birthday.
Erzebet Szonyi is one of the most amazing composers you have never heard of, and Bela Bartok one of the most amazing that you have and their duos are incredible fun.
The concert also includes the Australian premiere's of William Vyvyan Murray's new "Bee" duos and Oene Van Geel's 'Slonimsky's Scherzo" plus Ruby Hunters 'Welcome to all people', Leilehua Lanzilotti, Georges Enescu and more...
