A very particular party for a very particular group of craftspeople!
Join us to learn about glazes, swap recipes, and meet your local clay crew. We’ll provide the expertise, you bring your favourite glaze recipe, a handy tip to share, and your tricky glaze questions.
Facilitated by local glaze enthusiast Ella Hughes (President, Castlemaine Clay) with guest potter Prue Venables (represented by Gallery Sally Dan-Cuthbert).
We’ll start the afternoon with a look at Moondance, an exhibition of over 20 ceramic artists who were prominent in the 70s. Prue will then offer some steps and resources for your glaze journey. Then it’s your turn: ask a question, receive some advice, share a recipe. Together we will unpack your glaze questions (as best we can!). Bring a glaze recipe to share with the group (if you have one, not compulsory!).
We’re really looking forward to the party - a wonderful opportunity to connect with local potters, share skills, and explore some great ceramics.
