The legendary Mangrove Boogie Kings get back together again for this one-off reunion gig! They've invited Sally King and King Biscuit Time Review to join them for a very special night of blues, rhythm'n'blues and soul! Not to be missed!The Mangrove Boogie Kings emerged from the swamps of Mangrove Creek north of Sydney in 1974, soon becoming stalwarts of the Sydney pub rock scene, sharing stages with the likes of Radio Birdman, Cold Chisel and Mental As Anything. They also supported Chuck Berry's 1978 Australian tour. This reunion show could be their last-ever performance!
Sally King made her name as a high profile member of the Sydney rhythm’n’blues scene, moving audiences with her passionate, powerful renditions of her original songs, classic soul and old school r’n’b tunes. Career highlights include a 6 week US tour with Bo Diddley, & supporting the likes of Big Jay McNeely etc.
King Biscuit Time Revue will open the night with their unique, hypnotic early juke joint grooves.
