A performance celebrating the 250th year of the birth in 1775 of the renowned and well loved writer Jane Austen. Theatre of the Winged Unicorn is excited to bring to you an ensemble performance which presents favourite scenes from 5 of her well loved novels. Emma, Pride and Prejudice, Mansfield Park, Sense and Sensibility and Persuasion. The Theatre of the Winged Unicorn ensemble consists of 10 actors taking multiple parts, and presenting such characters as Mr. Collins, Lady Catherine De Bourgh, Mr Elton, Mrs Bennet, Lizzie Bennet, Mr Darcy, Mr Bingley and a host more. Dressed beautifully in period costumes to delight our audiences, they will perform in the historic Ceres Hall which will be lit with a soft amber glow. It is in this little hall, in the village of Ceres in the beautiful Barrabool Hills and often with the moon rising over the bay, that this unique, intimate and creative company creates its own kind of magical theatre experience.Dates
