Rufous Whistler returns to Yack with their signature blend of folk and alt-country, soulful storytelling, and magnetic three-part harmonies. Rooted in tradition but bursting with fresh energy, they weave guitar, bouzouki, mandolin, double bass, and fiddles into a lush tapestry that marries old-time charm with a bold, heartfelt edge.Joining band leader Vinny Russell on this homecoming are the immensely talented (and Yackandandah-born) Lucy McKenzie-McHarg (fiddle, mandolin), Monty Shnier (double bass), and Dylan Knur (mandolin, fiddle, banjo). Together, they bring intricate, soulful energy, captivating audiences with raw authenticity and masterful instrumentation.
Touring their acclaimed debut album 'national panic', this special performance will be a special celebration at the beautiful Yack Public Hall, presented by Arts Yackandandah.
