Nikki is the State Manager for Royal Life Saving Society Queensland, and has been a trainer for aquatic courses for over 3 years and has over 15 years of aquatic and swim teaching experience. Having been an Emergency Nurse and having to perform resuscitation and care on drowning victims, she has a strong passion for water safety and is a big believer that everyone has the right to learn swimming and water safety skills no matter their location or background.
Gary is the Executive Officer of SWIM and celebrated his 44th year in the Aquatic industry in 2024. Gary performs a variety of roles at SWIM including overseeing Events and coaching education.

2.00pm - 3.00pm Learn to Swim - What does it really mean? Looking into the NSWSF, the vision of learning to swim and challenging thinking
3.00pm - 4.00pm Water Safety and Rescue Skills - it's not just a week but a lifetime - looking into how swim teachers incorporate water safety into everyday lessons, making it fun and a skill for lifetime
4.00pm - 4.30pm Afternoon Tea
4.30pm - 5.30pm Engaging past 8 - what opportunities are there to keep engagement in lessons past 8 years of age
