“The messages in my current work are deeply informed by the ecological world. Taking scientific facts and encounters with biosphere turning them into a feeling. I have learnt that data through science is necessary but not at the expense of imaginative thinking. To respond to the 'hyper objects', such as global warming, the proliferation of plastic pollution and the re-wilding of the planet, we need to imagine what our future would feel like without the things that bring us so much joy and pleasure. Everyday I think about how I can create a habitat in people's imagination for the things we are losing” Fleur Schell
