World Poetry Day 2025 & Local Word Poetry Prize Announcement

For World Poetry Day 2025, join us for an exploration of the future of poetry in a panel discussion led by Professor David McCooey, Personal Chair, Writing & Literature, School of Communication & Creative Arts at Deakin University. Joining David on the panel will be local poets Alex Creece, Annie Mullen-Walsh, Heather Cameron and Cameron Lowe.
The evening will also include the announcement of the short list and overall winner of the second Local Word Poetry Prize, with a first prize of $2,000.
