Pat Nourse is the Creative Director of the forthcoming Melbourne Food & Wine Festival. A former editor and chief critic at Gourmet Traveller, he has written about food, drink and travel for a living over the last 25 years and has been published internationally in Travel + Leisure, Saveur, Conde Nast Traveller, Gourmet, Lucky Peach, and Afar, as well as in the books Signature Dishes That Matter (2019), the Oxford Companion to Spirits and Cocktails (2021), and Ester, which was shortlisted for a James Beard Award in 2023. He chaired voting for Australia/Oceania for the World’s 50 Best Restaurants from 2006 to 2022, appears on Netflix’s Chef’s Table and Somebody Feed Phil, and is an ambassador in Tourism Australia’s Friend of Australia program.
