HERStory has long been a story told through the male lens, neglecting the voices and contributions of women. In this captivating presentation, Stella Boyages takes us on a journey to uncover:
• The stereotypical roles imposed on women in history and mythology, from Penelope to Clytemnestra.
• The suppression of exceptional women like Hypatia and Sappho, punished for their intellect and creativity.
• Early representations of women as earth mothers and fertility goddesses, highlighting their pivotal roles in matrilineal societies.
• A call to rewrite history by reclaiming and celebrating women's voices
