Life and Love

About
Join us for an exquisite program of lieder! WAAPA’s Classical Voice and Piano students perform excerpts from three beautiful song cycles: Johannes Brahms’ Liebeslieder Waltzes, Op. 52, are a collection of love songs in Ländler style, written for small vocal ensembles and four hands; Clara Schumann’s Six Lieder, Op. 13, express contrasting themes of love and longing, intimacy and loss, lightness and darkness; and Robert Schumann’s Frauenliebe und leben, Op. 42, is the cycle of a woman’s life and love, from first meeting to marriage and finally death.Date
