EVENT DETAILS
The event provides an opportunity to recognise, thank and congratulate volunteers for their contribution to the Banyule Community.
The 2025 Volunteer Awards will be presented on the evening.
The event includes a three course dinner and drinks with entertainment provided by Wilbur Wilde and his band.
The venue will open from 5.40 pm for registration with proceedings commencing at 6.00 pm.
Please note, no guests will be admitted into the venue prior to 5.40 pm
The Centre Ivanhoe is a fully accessible venue. There is an accessible drop off zone at the front door of The Great Hall on Upper Heidelberg Road. If you have any specific access needs, please provide details when booking tickets so we can do our best to accommodate you.
Free parking is available on site however parking can be busy so please arrive with enough time to find a car park and be seated by 6.00pm.
Please note - children cannot be accommodated at this event.
BOOKING INFORMATION
A maximum of 5 volunteer tickets can be booked in the initial booking period of Wednesday 26 March - Friday 2 May 2025. (This can include a maximum of one ticket for a paid staff member if they are attending to support the volunteers)
If tickets are still available after the closing date of 2 May 2025, groups may request additional tickets for their volunteers.
We ask volunteer agencies to pay a small contribution of $10 per person for the event (inclusive of GST) with a 50 cent booking fee per ticket. This helps to ensure that volunteers attend the event as planned and reduces the number of no shows. The contributions will be used for a prize draw on the evening with all funds collected going directly to volunteer involving groups/organisations.
It is intended that the volunteer involving organisation pays the contribution, not the individual volunteer.
If the group you volunteer with is unable to support your attendance, please contact us to discuss.
Unfunded not for profit community groups may be eligible for complimentary tickets. Please contact Karen Molinaro before making a booking if this applies to your volunteer group.
We aim to give as many volunteers as possible the opportunity to attend a Council Volunteer Celebration, therefore we ask that where appropriate you request tickets for volunteers who have not had the opportunity to attend a Banyule Volunteer Celebration previously.
Please do not book multiple tickets in the same name or TBC, individual details for each guest must be provided at the time of booking.
Bookings that do not provide requested details will not be processed.
Council reserves the right to limit the number of tickets to any one individual/group/organisation.
Any tickets booked in breach of these terms and conditions will be cancelled and monies refunded.
PHOTOS
Please be aware that photos will be taken at the event and will be made available to guests attending.
Photos may also be used on Councils website and social media and in council publications.
If you prefer not to have your photo taken, please let the photographer or a staff member know on the night.
