The conference will be discussing the many ways Australia was attacked During the Second World War.During the years of 1939-1945 over 1800 enemy air attacks happened across Australia’s north, while our nations waters churned with Raiders, Sea Mines and Submarines. Friends, Foes and Families of many different backgrounds were interned for the duration in heavily guarded camps. Japanese POWS breakout causing many to be killed and panic to spread. All these stories, and much more, will be discussed. What happened? Who was involved? How did the nation deal with Menace at Home while fighting a war on many fronts away from Australia?
