About
Growing plants from seed or cuttings is one of the more rewarding activities gardeners do. This workshop takes all the uncertainty out of native plant propagation, and you will learn how to grow your favourite native plants.The workshop, facilitated by Robert Price, will run for 2 hours and will cover seed collection, types of seed, types of fruit and treatment, germination, cutting methods, materials needed, tubing, other propagation methods and tips.
Robert is an experienced horticulturist with an extensive work history in the areas of production propagation, landscape gardening and retail nurseries. Since retirement 10 years ago, Robert propagates, cultivates and sells plants that interest him and aren't commonly available.
Participants are encouraged to bring along cuttings or seeds of native specimens that they may have had trouble growing.
