Join us for this Mother's Day event as our special guests put a spotlight on the literacy challenges faced by children and young adults, and what we can do to help them become readers.2024–25 Australian Children's Laureate Sally Rippin will be joined by author Sarah Hayden, mother of actress and autism activist Chloe Hayden, to discuss their own personal experiences of raising readers, where traditional learning methods failed. They will be joined by children’s literature advocate Paul MacDonald,owner of “The Children’s Bookshop” and president of the CBCA NSW Branch.
All attendees will receive a glass of sparkling wine on arrival and a traditional High Tea, including tea and coffee.
