Join us for an engaging discussion with award-winning journalist and former foreign correspondent Melinda Ham, who brings her expertise and compassion to 'The Lucky Ones', a compelling and deeply human collection of refugee stories.Though they are from different generations, countries and cultures, the families in this book all have one thing in common: they have escaped persecution in their homelands to find safety in Australia.
The book includes contributions from newly settled refugees in the Newcastle region. Please join us to hear these powerful, heart-breaking and deeply moving stories.
