The Play Cycle - professional development session
Play is simply the most important thing to children, it is the mechanism they use to engage with the world and the people around them, it is the way they build their bodies and their minds and develop a sense of who they are, and it is the way they experience pleasure, it satisfies their curiosity and drives them to new experiences and knowledge.
This session is perfect for early years educators and anyone working with children and younf people. It is an opporunity to understand what makes great playspaces, how play works and why it is so important for children's development.
Marc Armitage from Malarkey Playwork will facilitate the session. He will share his insights on how different types of play are connected and the key structure that makes play work. Marc will discuss how play isn't just something children do for fun - it is an essential process that helps them grow, learn and build skills.
