Putting the ‘feast’ back into festival, the Long Table Lunch brings together the culinary and performing arts, combining produce from the Sunshine Coast with the stunning sounds of Melissa Western & The Moxie Crew.Settle in for a delicious three-hour food and music extravaganza, prepared by award-winning chef Michael Hehir and staged in the stunning Maleny hinterland. Interweaving genres of jazz, swing, and blues, Melissa Western evokes the warm hospitality of chamber music’s intimate home settings of days gone by.
With swinging jazz, powerful soul, and cheeky kitsch, Melissa delights guests with the pioneering music of Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, and Eartha Kitt. She and her sizzling band serve up a sumptuous program featuring their signature style, fusing the soul of blues, the passion of swing, and the spontaneity of jazz—souping up melodies with spicy improvisations.
Ticket includes a three-course lunch + wine.
