Flashback Dance classes are inspired by retro pop culture and performed to modern, upbeat music mostly from the 70s, 80s and 90s. All the daggy songs Andrea’s mum used to play (that Andrea learnt to love). Body rolls, isolations, struts, kicks, drops, shimmies and leaps – If you’re OK with being a bit silly and learning some cheesy moves - this class is for you!
Being beginner level, this class offers repetition, a slower tempo and simpler sequences to ensure participants feel confident in the steps and accomplished in developing movement vocabulary. You will learn fun sequences to counts, rhythm and syncopation with steps and the music and fun footwork. Classes are energetic starting with a follow-on style warm up, basic aerobic style fitness work, followed by some progressions building into learning an entire groovy routine!
