St John Henry Newman College, with the Brisbane Oratory in Formation, are honoured to be hosting a free public lecture with renowned Catholic author and international speaker Joseph Pearce. Joseph is a prolific author, biographer and academic. With an inspiring conversion story, Joseph has published over 30 books on the spirituality, lives and imagination of some of the West's great literary giants, from Shakespeare to J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and beyond. Joseph is one of only a handful of Western authors to have met and personally interviewed Solzhenitsyn.Drawing on some of his best loved works, Joseph will be exploring the importance of these and other literary giants, and the essential role the Great Books play in both a classical education and our lives of faith.
