We understand that receiving an ADHD diagnosis for your child can bring a mix of emotions and questions. At Westerly Youth Clinic, we’re here to support you every step of the way. That’s why we’re inviting you to join our ADHD 101 Workshop — a one-off session designed to help parents and guardians build knowledge, confidence, and connection following their child’s recent diagnosis.This 2.5 hour workshop offers practical insights into ADHD, covering topics such as:
- What ADHD is and how it’s diagnosed
- Understanding executive functioning and your child’s unique challenges
- Exploring treatment options: medication, therapies, and lifestyle strategies
- Navigating school partnerships and building environmental accommodations
- Creating meaningful connections with your child and finding the right support networks
You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of ADHD, actionable strategies, and a sense of empowerment as you begin this journey with your child.
