TENTERFIELD AUTUMN FESTIVAL HISTORIC STANNUM HOUSE TOURS

About
Step back in time with a tour of historic Stannum House,a Victorian Italianate mansion built in the late 1888 with no expense spared by tin and mining magnate John Holmes Reid.
The three-storey villa is constructed with triple brick on granite foundations. The grand rooms boast sixteen foot high ceilings with elaborate ceiling roses and cornice work, featuring local red cedar timber throughout. Marble fireplaces adorn each room.
New owners Wendy and Bruce have embarked on a remarkable journey of restoration since acquiring the property last year.
The tour will include the expansive entrance hallway and three large downstairs rooms including the front dining room, drawing room and bedroom.
Visitors will also be able to see the restoration progress underway throughout the huge upstairs bedrooms, and the eternal light for James Moffat Reid who died at Gallipoli.
Tours Easter Saturday & Easter Sunday from 11am–4pm, & Easter Monday from 9am-1pm. Entry fee $10.00.
