About
Our annual Cherry Blossom Festival (Sakura Matsuri in Japanese) is a day to celebrate the arrival of Spring and the Japanese Culture.Sakura Matsuri showcases Japanese culture through a range of activities and demonstrations with Bonsai workshops, Taiko drummers, sumo wrestlers, Japanese archery and sword demonstrations, origami, martial arts, singers, dancers, choir, kintsugi, ikebana, tea ceremonies and MORE!
There will be activities for children throughout the day. It is a day for families and individuals of all ages to enjoy.
The Garden is usually a dog-friendly environment, but Sakura Matsuri is our busiest day of the year and we are expecting considerable levels of noise and people of all ages. So for the safety of our visitors we will not allow dogs into the garden during this event.
Food stalls in the Garden will be offering a fusion of Japanese and Australian to please everyone's tastebuds.
