The performance is about 4 bush children that are exploring, and they come across an abandoned orphanage. The 4 bush children are possessed by clothes they are playing with and act out the stories of the spirts trapped in the orphanage. The orphans try to make the old gloomy orphanage fun, but the Black Skirt won't let them.The Children of the Black Skirt is an Australian Gothic play which explores complex themes of Australia’s history; Abandonment, Poverty, Child abuse, Child migration, Spirits, The Stolen Generations, War and Racisms/Unfair treatment.
