Miriam Lieberman - Just Transforming
Miriam Lieberman is a singer-songwriter with an unmistakable voice. Her unique sound is created through collaboration with long-time musical partners, violinists Lara Goodridge (FourPlay, Baby et Lulu) and Susie Bishop, whose lush strings and vocal harmonies elevate Miriam’s compositions to a soaring, heartfelt soundscape.
Having spent extended periods studying with master musicians in West Africa, Miriam writes and performs primarily on the kora—a 21-stringed African harp—to which she brings her own contemporary sensibilities and powerful, unmistakable voice. Her music is a seamless fusion of melodic storytelling and the intricate rhythms and textures of West Africa.
Miriam’s latest album, Just Transforming, was voted one of the top ten album releases of 2021 by The Guardian.
