Isabel and the Dead Ringers + Mixed Messages - Live In the Loft. Fri 2 May, 7-10pm at the Dunkirk Hotel, 205 Harris St, PyrmontIsabel Palethorpe is a singer and songwriter based in Sydney. Her debut album, Oxytocin & Adrenaline, was released in 2022, and the first single from her second album has just been launched in April 2025.
Her bandmates, The Dead Ringers (Bonnie Mackinnon, Greg Taylor, Hugh Palethorpe, Allison Orr, Ethan Good and Hannah Gwatkin), bring grooving piano, guitar, bass, drums and sax (and lots of backing vocals!).
Mixed Messages is a Sydney based, high-energy funk experiment, bringing the heat with deep pocketed grooves and featuring six talented musicians who connected in university. Inspired by artists such as Scary Pockets, Vulfpeck and Olivia Dean, Mixed Messages brings a fresh, funky vibe to the music scene with their covers and originals. Their debut single Pink Pelican is set to be released in April 2025!
