Homeschoolers Art Workshop and Adjoining Art Exhibition. 

Sessions with local Artist Jade Edgar  will be held on Wednesday 7th May at the Balhannah Scout hall.

9.30 am till 10.30 Am   ( ages 5 - 7 years old )

Tickets ( through trybooking link ) $18 per child. 

This Event is in 2 parts. There is A LOT of information. Please read through carefully. 

WORKSHOP:

A once off age appropriate Art class with discussions around the technical aspect of Art eg Point of view , Light source , tone, texture , mediums , foregrounds / backgrounds , use of space etc.  As well as developing an idea for the Art exhibition, with a chance for the kids to experiment with the concepts discussed with acrylic paints etc. 

Please note that the workshops are NOT refundable.  If you are no longer able to attend on the day - you're more than welcome to pass them to someone else or contact me to see if we have a wait list.  

Please note that these are NOT drop and go sessions. A parent or appointed person will need to be on site. 

We will have access to the yards for siblings not participating or waiting throughout the day. 

While a few art materials will be supplied, to help keep the cost affordable each child will need to bring to the session some thick art paper, cardstock or even cardboard and paintbrushes.  ( we will have spares if any one forgets ) 

EXHIBITION:

A few weeks Later The kids will have a chance to showcase their works of Art and their skills they have built on from the workshop at home,  at the Mount Barker Community library.

Art work will be on display for family , friends and the general public from Monday the 16th of June till Thursday the 3rd of July. 

Paintings will need to be on a canvas - due to the way the library now displays the Art. - canvas can be purchased from Kmart for roughly $5- $10 for a 16in x 20 in canvas.

To make sure there is room for everyone. Please do not go over a A3 size canvas and only 1 Canvas per child. 

Art work will need to be delivered to Myself ( Nairne) or to the Mount Barker Library by Thursday the 12th of June.

Please note that all attempts will be made to make sure all Artwork is protected. However The library does not take responsibility if an accident were to happen. 

Art work will need to be collected from Mount Barker Library at the end of the exhibition On Friday the 4th of July ( or thereabouts) or from me ( In Nairne ) at an arranged time.

You CAN attend the workshop and not participate in the exhibition ( but the cost is the same)

Displays at the exhibition will be given to attendees of the Art workshops first.
