2025 Battle of the Rock Bands

The Music Department is pleased to announce the return of the Battle of the Bands competition. It is a fantastic opportunity for Rock Band boys to perform in front of their peers, to workshop their songs, and to receive valuable feedback from a panel of judges.Date: Monday 13 May 2025
Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Location: The Coote Theatre
This event is compulsory participation for all boys involved in Contemporary Senior and Middle School Rock Bands, with compulsory attendance for all boys involved in the Songwriters’ Club and Producers Workshop co-curricular groups to show support to their peers.
Competition Format
Boys will compete in age divisions:
Years 5-7 bands
Years 7–9 bands
Years 10–12 bands
The 2 categories to sign up for are:
Best Original Song
Best Cover Song.
Each band may perform up to 3 songs, and prizes will be awarded to the winning band in each division.
