This autumn, Opera in the Country travels to Tatura for an unforgettable evening of music, featuring beloved works by Mozart, Bizet, the ever-charming Gilbert & Sullivan, and timeless Musical Theatre classics.

Join us for a night of elegance and entertainment with five of Australia’s emerging opera talents—Johnny De Simone, Matthew Duffy, Charlotte Goode, Mei Wah Chan, and Lily Ward—accompanied by acclaimed pianist Alex Byrne. Adding an extra touch of sparkle, a delightful cameo performance by a very special children's chorus will brighten the evening even more.

Set in the heart of Tatura at Victory Hall, experience a musical night that is intimate, joyful, and full of flair.

What is Opera in the Country?

Opera in the Country is a project passionate about communities in rural Victoria having the opportunity to experience opera performances in their home towns! Country people have limited access to opera, however, Opera in the Country aims to change this.

Opera in the Country values performing financially accessible concerts for country patrons. Each concert celebrates the uniqueness of the rural community it is performed at and promotes the art form of opera to the locality whilst platforming young, emerging opera artists.
